Michael Vey is a teenager that lives in a small town in Ohio . His best friend’s name is Ostin and is a really smart student.

Michael has tourettes syndrome, he blinks and does weird noises with his mouth.  He was born in a hospital where a company called Elgen was running scientific experiments.The experiments failed and out of 120 new borns only 15 survived, Michael was one of them.

The failed experiments made him be able to control and shoot electricity.

One day after school a couple bullies were bothering him and he shocked them with his electricity, a cheerleader saw how he shocked the bullies. The cheerleader´s name is Taylor, she was also born in the hospital, the same week, and she had powers, she could control and read minds.

Taylor and Michael talked about their powers and looked for information about the company named Elgen that made them have their powers .

While looking for information they get spotted by the company, and Taylor and Michael’s mom get kidnapped.

Michael decides to go to Pasadena were the headquarters of the Elgen are. He doesn’t have a car so he pays the bully to drive Michael and Ostin to Pasadena.

While driving Michael and Ostin realize that the bully [Jack] isn’t a bad person, but he has a bad family.

They arrive to the headquarters of the Elgen and Michael , Ostin and Jack break in to find Taylor and Michael’s mom . They find Taylor and Michael´s mom and also 7 other children with powers that are being enslaved by the company. They all try to break out of the headquarters but there are Elgen soldiers with guns that don’t want them to get out.

There’s a big fight and Michael and everyone else escape but the main CEO of Elgen escapes and he’s the one that runs the operation of catching and turning into slaves all the children with powers.
